Plateworks Ignition collects no observation data
The app has no accounts, no crash reporting, and no advertising. Every calculation runs on your device. Nothing you type or log is sent to Plateworks.
The native app makes no network requests. It can take one GPS fix when you ask. The position goes only into your log. The log leaves your phone only in exports, backups, and a paired Apple Watch.
The web app sets no cookies. It keeps your observations, site details, and settings in your browser. It also keeps a copy of itself for offline use.
The web app counts page views and named interactions with Plausible. Plausible builds no profile of you. Events say which control was used and never what you entered. I see totals, a rough location, and the kind of device. Offline, events can wait in memory until the connection returns or the app closes. Netlify hosts the web app and Cloudflare delivers it. Both keep ordinary server logs.
This page lives on the Plateworks blog. It sets no cookies unless you sign in. It counts page views with Plausible and with Ghost's built-in analytics. Pages load fonts from fonts.bunny.net, scripts from cdn.jsdelivr.net, and images from storage.ghost.io. Each of those hosts sees your request. Ghost hosts the page and Fastly carries it.

Plateworks Ignition is a calculator. It has no accounts to recover and no data on a server to restore. In the web app, your observations live in the browser that logged them. Clearing that browser's site data deletes them, so export a shift before you clear anything.
Known behaviors
Results update as you type. Nighttime fuel-moisture handling is automatic.
